Tialoc organized a seminar on “The Future of Waste”, collocated with the 5th Waste management Asia Summit exhibition that took place in Kuala Lumpur end of September 2018.
Approximately 32 participants attended the first day’s session which featured content on the ever increasing issues surrounding waste management and applied technical solutions with discussions and the group’s shared experience on incineration, energy recovery and flue gas treatment technologies. The session was led by experts in the field and provided ample time for questions and thorough discussion on the topics presented.
Speakers’ Highlight
Topic 1: Sharing on the ‘Future of Waste’
Speaker: Jean – Philippe Filhol, SEA Deputy Managing Director of Tialoc Group
Our esteemed speaker highlighted the interaction between waste management solutions and energy production technologies that can vary significantly, depending on multiple factors. Countries across the world choose to adopt different strategies, depending on social, economic and environmental criteria and constraints. These decisions have an impact on environmental sustainability when looking at the future of the waste sector.
Using Waste-to-energy (WtE) technology is one strategy, combining waste treatment with environment-friendly energy production, to solve challenges in both the waste management and energy sectors.
Topic 2: The introduction to Tialoc Group of Companies
Speaker: Christoph Engel, Managing Director of Tialoc Group
In this introduction, our Managing Director of Tialoc Group of companies presents our full service turn-key solutions for industrial plants, environmental technology systems and composite process equipment to the audience.
This Includes the successful achievement of supplying numerous high temperature incineration facilities around the world through its strategic partnerships and capabilities and to continuously improve its technologies for providing sustainable competitive solutions tailored to the customer’s needs.
Topic 3: Waste to Value Equation
Speaker: Dr Nils Becht, Project Manager of Tialoc Group
Dr Nils provided information related to methods on how to change waste to valuable energy. The process involves converting waste material into useable heat, electricity, or fuel through thermal treatment processes where waste materials are converted by incinerators into heat, gas, steam and ash. Waste to energy is a viable and economic option to manage the ever increasing volumes of waste being produced.
The seminar objectives were met in promoting awareness and were designed to provide insight and understanding of the key concepts and solutions for industrial plants using environmental technology systems and composite process equipment.
The seminar also provided the understanding of regulatory requirements for applying state of the art technology on waste-to-energy management facilities. It also provides an insight into the economic drivers of modern incineration solutions and the great potential for industries to benefit.
We extend our sincerest thanks to all our esteemed speakers and all attendees for their great team work and participation. We look forward to meeting you on future events…
